India and Bangladesh are all set to face off in a 3-match ODI series, starting December 4, Sunday. India are heading into this series on the back of a series loss against New Zealand.

However, unlike India’s tour of New Zealand, Rohit Sharma will lead the Men in Blue in Bangladesh as he returns to action after a long break post-T20 World Cup 2022.

The likes of Virat Kohli and vice-captain KL Rahul also return to the team as Blue Shirts eye a series win against Bangladesh, who will be without their regular skipper Tamin Iqbal.

Bangladesh, meanwhile, suffered two huge blows ahead of the three-match ODI series. While their captain Tamim Iqbal suffered an injury during a practice session and has been ruled out of the ODI series, their star pacer Taskin Ahmed will also miss the first ODI.

Team India, meanwhile will miss their star all-rounder Ravidnra Jadeja, who has been out of action since Asia Cup 2022. Initially, he was included in the squad for the Bangladesh tour but the Gujarat cricketer failed to attain 100% fitness ahead of the tour.
