IND vs AUS: Tim Paine In Self-Isolation Due To Adelaide COVID-19 Outbreak

“There is ongoing monitoring but that’s the end of the story,” a CA spokeswoman said, as quoted by Sydney Morning Herald and the Age.
Cricket Australia (CA) is monitoring the coronavirus outbreak situation. Its officials are in contact with the Adelaide administration. Tasmania health officials have been keeping people coming from South Australia in isolation since November 9. This means that apart from Tim Paine, Matthew Wade and the other players in the team will be in Quarantine. Recently the team played in the Sheffield Shield Trophy in South Australia.
Meanwhile, Australia’s Test vice-captain Pat Cummins also spoke on the matter and said that these are difficult times but all the players and authorities need to be ‘open-minded’ and should be ready for such challenges in the future.
“Everyone knows they have got to be adaptable … you literally have to take it day by day. I know everyone is trying to plan ahead but … you have got to be open-minded and take it as it is,” Pat Cummins said about the situation.
Indian and Australian players arrived in Australia from the UAE after completion of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020playing UAE 2020. They are currently serving a mandatory 14-day quarantine in Sydney.
The first two ODIs will be played in Sydney. Canberra will host the third ODI and first T20. The remaining two T20s will be held in Sydney. India has to play two warm-up matches against Australia A in Sydney before the Test series.
