IND vs AUS: Huge Blow for Australia; Cameron Green Out of Nagpur Test

Cameron Green is expected to miss the Nagpur Test.

In what comes as a massive blow for Australia, their ace all-rounder Cameron Green is set to miss the opening Test against India, set to be played at Nagpur from February 9.

Green injured his finger in the home South Africa series at the end of last year and has not played a match since, raising questions over whether he would be fit for the opening Test.

Pat Cummins’ update on Cameron Green:

“I know he won’t be bowling (in the first Test). The next week’s obviously really important. He hasn’t been able to do a lot yet.”

“I think the nature of that particular injury is once it comes good, it comes good really quickly. Hopefully we’re at that stage where next week, it really does improve a lot.”

Green’s all-round skills are crucial for the Aussies, and his absence, regardless of whether he can only bat or not play at all, is a major setback for Australia.
