On Tuesday, the team started their preparation for the Test series which they won last time in 2018-19. During the 2018-19 series, India managed to record their first Test series win on Australian soil. Kohli-led side eventually won the series 2-1 and now they would be looking to retain the Border Gavaskar Trophy.

Notably, Skipper Kohli will take part in only the first Test, a day-night fixture in Adelaide, starting from December 17 and after that, he will fly back to India to be with his wife Anushka Sharma for the birth of their first child.

The first Test between India and Australia will commence from December 17 at the Adelaide Oval and this match will be a day-night contest.
