IND vs AUS 1st ODI: India vs Australia Head-to-Head Records in ODIs

India will take on Australia in 1st ODI of 3 match series in Mohali

Team India will take on Australia in a three-match ODI series at home from September 22 to September 27. This series will serve as the final warm-up for both squads ahead of the upcoming World Cup, which will be held in India from October 5 to November 19.

Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, and Kuldeep Yadav have been given a rest in the first two matches of the series for India. In the absence of Rohit, KL Rahul will take on the captaincy role, with Ravindra Jadeja serving as the vice-captain.

This series will also mark the comeback of R Ashwin in ODIs, who has been given a chance due to Axar Patel’s unavailability. Ruturaj Gaikwad, Tilak Varma, and Prasidh Krishna, who are not part of India’s 15-member World Cup squad, have been included in the lineup for the first two ODIs.

Australia, on the other hand, has reason to be optimistic as their star trio of Pat Cummins, Glenn Maxwell, and Steve Smith have all been given a clean bill of health for the upcoming series. However recent reports suggest that Mitchell Starc, Glenn Maxwell and Steve Smith will not be available for the series opener.
