What Happens If MI vs DC Is Washed Out?
After this game, both MI and DC have one match left, and it is against Punjab Kings – a team that has already qualified for the playoffs, along with RCB and GT.
If Punjab Kings lose both games (against MI and DC), then MI will qualify for the playoffs. But if PBKS beat MI and lose to DC, then Delhi Capitals will qualify and MI will be out.
In another case, even if DC beat PBKS, a single win for MI will push DC out because of the Net Run Rate. So, the washout will keep the playoff race alive, but the chances will become very tricky for both teams.
