The South African explosive batter, Heinrich Klaasen, scripted history in SA20 as he hit the fastest 50 in tournament history, scoring it in just 16 balls on Sunday, January 28.
Klaasen reached this milestone during his batting performance against Paarl Royals at Kingsmead, Durban. His remarkable innings featured two boundaries and six towering sixes.
Klaasen and Matthew Breetzke’s exceptional performances, with later contributing 78 runs from 43 balls, allowed the Durban Super Giants to post a mammoth total of 208 runs in the allotted 20 overs.
Klaasen has maintained exceptional form since last year, currently standing as the world’s best player against spin in cricket. Moreover, he serves as the backbone of the Durban Super Giants in the ongoing tournament.
