Haris Rauf Destroys Afghanistan With Four-Wicket Haul, Sends Big Message Ahead of India Clash
Haris Rauf picked a four-wicket haul against Afghanistan in the 1st T20I match of UAE T20I Series 2025
Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf delivered a fiery spell against Afghanistan in the tri-series opener at Sharjah, picking up 4 wickets for 31 runs and powering his side to a 39-run win.
The right-arm quick struck in short bursts, dismissing Sediqullah Atal, Karim Janat, Rashid Khan and Fareed Ahmad to derail the chase. Afghanistan were bowled out for 143 in reply to Pakistan’s 182.
For Rauf, this performance comes at the perfect time, with the Asia Cup 2025 less than two weeks away. The high-pressure tournament will see Pakistan face arch-rivals India, and a confident Rauf could be Pakistan’s biggest weapon.
His ability to bowl at 145+ kmph and strike in the death overs gives Pakistan the cutting edge they often rely on in crunch matches. Rauf had endured a mixed run earlier this year, struggling for rhythm in franchise cricket.
However, if he can carry this form into the Asia Cup, Rauf could play a key role in neutralising India’s formidable batting line-up, which remains one of the strongest in the world.
