ENG vs PAK: Hasan Ali took a 5-wicket haul in the second ODI at Lord’s against England.

ENG vs PAK: The Pakistan pacer, Hasan Ali has been rested for the first of the three T20Is against England as a precautionary measure after he sustained a strain on his left leg during the training session which was conducted at Trent Bridge on Thursday.

Hasan Ali took a 5-wicket haul in the second ODI at Lord’s against England – his first ODI 5-fer since 2017 – and picked 6 wickets in total in the 3-match series, in which the hosts completed a white-wash over the visitors.

The PCB announced this news on the morning of the first match.

“Hasan Ali has been rested for the first of the three T20Is against England as a precautionary measure due to a strain in his left leg, which he picked during a training session at Trent Bridge on Thursday,” the PCB said in a released statement.

“The fast bowler will now be assessed ahead of the second T20I, following which decision on his participation will be made,” the statement added.

The Pakistan team will now assess his injury and will try to get him fit before the second T20I, which is scheduled to be held in Headingley in Leeds on July 18. Mohammad Hasnain is expected to replace Hasan Ali in the second T20I against England.

Speaking of the playing XI, Pakistan is expected to bring changes in top order in the T20Is. Fakhar Zaman didn’t have a great ODI series so he is likely to be replaced by Sharjeel Khan in the T20Is. Mohammad Rizwan, will as usual will be the second opener alongside Sharjeel Khan ans Babar Azam might bat at No. 3 with Mohammad Hafeez will follow him at No. 4.
