Jasprit Bumrah added another milestone to his name as he became the Indian bowler with the most five-wicket hauls in Test matches in England. He achieved this during the first Test of the five-match series against England at Headingley, Leeds.

On Day 3 of the match, Bumrah picked up his third five-wicket haul in England by clean bowling Josh Tongue. With this, he went past several legendary Indian names who had taken two fifers each in the country.

Before this match, Bumrah was tied with ten Indian bowlers who had each taken two fifers in England. The list included big names like Kapil Dev, Lala Amarnath, B Chandrasekhar, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Ishant Sharma, among others. Now, Bumrah stands alone at the top with three five-wicket hauls in England.

In addition to Indian records, Bumrah also climbed up the list of Asian bowlers with the most fifers in SENA countries, South Africa, England, New Zealand, and Australia. He now has 10 five-wicket hauls in these conditions.
