MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli are the two biggest names in Indian cricket, and many formidable bowling line-ups have been victims of their prowess. Their friendship was seen in the field when the duo played together.

After Dhoni handed over the captaincy responsibility to Delhi-lad, there was never a moment that gave an impression that the two had any sort of ego issues, which is considered normal among players of any sport.

However, many of you might not know that their wives, Sakshi Dhoni & Anushka Sharma, also share a tale of friendship.

The duo in fact were close friends too, apart from studying in the same class. It was when Anushka’s father, Retd. Col. Ajay Kumar Sharma, was posted in Assam, that she went to St. Mary’s School, where Sakshi was already studying. After so many years, the pictures of the two WAGs has surfaced on social media, which has created a storm.

In an interview in 2013, Anushka had revealed that they got to know that they lived in the same town in Assam.

“Sakshi and I lived together in a very small town in Assam. When she told me where she lived, I said wow, I have lived here too! She said I went to this school, I said I went to this school too,” Anushka had said.

As far as we know, Anushka Sharma went on to join the film industry while Sakshi pursued her career in hotel management. Later, the school-time friends tied knots with two of the most prominent personalities in world cricket.

While Dhoni and Sakshi married in 2010, Kohli and Anushka hitched up in 2017. The two couples have become parents, having been blessed with daughters, Ziva and Vamika, respectively.
