Dhanashree Verma Accuses Yuzvendra Chahal of Cheating Weeks After Marriage
Dhanashree Verma shocks fans by accusing Yuzvendra Chahal of cheating just two months into their marriage. The cricketer had earlier denied all allegations of infidelity.
Choreographer and influencer Dhanashree Verma has finally broken her silence on her much-discussed divorce from Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal. On a reality show, she stunned viewers by hinting at infidelity just weeks after their marriage.
Dhanashree and Chahal had tied the knot in 2020 after a brief courtship. While their wedding grabbed headlines, their relationship hit turbulence a few years later, ultimately ending in a mutual divorce in 2025.
Currently featuring on the reality show Rise and Fall, hosted by Ashneer Grover, Dhanashree was asked by actress Kubbra Sait about when she realised her marriage would not last.
In a candid reply, she said, “First year. Caught him in the second month,” indirectly alleging Chahal had been unfaithful in the early stages of their relationship.
She also addressed long-standing speculation regarding alimony, saying to co-contestant Aditya Narayan, “It happened quickly because it was mutual; that’s why when people say alimony, it’s wrong.”
Dhanashree added that she doesn’t feel the need to respond to every rumour and is only accountable to those close to her.
Meanwhile, Yuzvendra Chahal had earlier denied any cheating allegations during a podcast with Raj Shamani. The leg-spinner admitted their marriage “deteriorated over time” but insisted, “I have never cheated in my life. I am not that kind of person.”
Chahal also clarified the buzz around his “Be Your Own Sugar Daddy” T-shirt, which he wore to the final divorce hearing. He explained that it wasn’t meant to stir drama but to send a broader message about self-dependence.
