Karachi Kings made a powerful statement in the Platinum category of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 Player Draft by acquiring Australian batting superstar David Warner, New Zealand speedster Adam Milne, and emerging local talent Abbas Afridi. The franchise is looking to build a well-rounded squad for the landmark 10th edition of the tournament.
With the first pick of the draft, Karachi Kings roped in David Warner, one of the most explosive openers in modern cricket. Warner brings a wealth of experience, having played 110 T20 Internationals for Australia and scoring 3,277 runs at an average of 32.74. He has one century and 28 fifties to his name in T20 cricket.
In the second round of the Platinum category, Karachi Kings secured New Zealand pacer Adam Milne, renowned for his raw pace and consistency. Since his international debut in 2012, Milne has featured in 53 T20Is, claiming 57 wickets at an average of 24.98.
Karachi Kings completed their Platinum picks with the selection of emerging Pakistani pacer Abbas Afridi. A rising star in Pakistan’s domestic and T20 setup, Afridi has already made an impact with 30 wickets in just 18 T20 matches for the national team.
