Chris Morris Announces Retirement From All Forms of The Game

South Africa all-rounder Chris Morris announced his retirement from all forms of the game effective immediately. In his announcement, Morris further stated that he had taken up a coaching role with the domestic side Titans.

Morris last played for the Titans in their game against Boland in the four-day franchise series match at the Boland Park in Paarl.

Morris made his international debut in 2012 with a T20I against New Zealand and went on to play ODI and Test cricket as well.

Talking about his numbers across formats, the South African has played 42 ODIs, 23 T20Is and four Tests where he picked 48, 34 and 12 wickets respectively.

Notably, Morris was the most expensive player in the last edition of the IPL after being bought at INR 16.25 crores by Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2021 auction.

Morris took to Instagram and wrote:

“Today I announce my retirement from all forms of cricket! Thanks to all who have played a part in my journey whether it be big or small…it’s been a fun ride! Delighted to be taking up a coaching role at @titanscricket #lifebeginsnow.”
