In a historic match of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2024-25, Dhaka Capitals defeated Durbar Rajshahi by a massive 149 runs. Batting first, Dhaka Capitals posted a record-breaking 254/1 in their 20 overs, thanks to brilliant centuries from Tanzid Hasan and Litton Das.
Dhaka’s innings was powered by two exceptional knocks. Tanzid Hasan and Litton Das put on a record-breaking partnership of 241 runs for the first wicket. Tanzid smashed 108 runs from 64 balls, hitting 6 fours and 8 sixes.
Litton Das followed up with an explosive 125* from 55 balls, featuring 10 fours and 9 sixes. Their combined efforts helped Dhaka set the highest-ever total in BPL history, surpassing the previous record of 239 set by Rangpur Riders in 2019.
Sabbir Rahman also contributed with a quick 7* from 2 balls, bringing the total to 254/1.
Durbar Rajshahi Struggles in Chase
Chasing a massive target of 255, Durbar Rajshahi’s batting crumbled under pressure. They were all out for just 105 runs in 15.2 overs. The top scorer for Durbar was Ryan Burl, who remained unbeaten on 47* off 32 balls.
