In a disheartening twist of events, the Melbourne Stars’ captain, Glenn Maxwell, has been sidelined for their upcoming match against the Perth Scorchers due to an injury in forearm muscle.

Maxwell led the team in the BBL 2023-24 opener against Brisbane Heat, where Melbourne Stars suffered a massive 103 runs defeat. Maxwell scored a quickfire 23 from 14 balls.
