AUS vs PAK: ‘Catches Win Matches’ – Shaheen Afridi Criticizes Pakistan Team for Poor Fielding and Dropped Catches

Shaheen Afridi criticize fielding of Pakistan Cricket Team in ongoing tour of Australia

Shaheen Shah Afridi, the Pakistani pacer, revealed that the team management opted to rest him during the third and final test against Australia at Sydney Cricket Ground, preparing for the upcoming T20 series against New Zealand.

In the first test at Perth, Shaheen Afridi contributed with two wickets, followed by a standout performance in the second test at Melbourne Cricket Ground where he claimed six wickets. However, in both instances, Pakistan suffered massive defeats.

Speaking to the host broadcasters on Day One during the lunch break of the third Test, Shaheen Afridi stated that he could have taken more wickets against Australia if the fielders hadn’t missed catches from his bowling.

Here’s what Shaheen Afridi said:

“I think that I can take more wickets, but unfortunately catches win matches, and unfortunately we missed those opportunities on the field most of the time.”

“It has been a good tour so far and the last game that we played was quite awesome. As a bowling unit, and as a team, we gave our best, the result was not in our hands, but we tried.”
