Arshdeep Singh Becomes First Indian With 100 T20I Wickets
Arshdeep Singh becomes the first Indian to claim 100 T20I wickets, reaching the milestone against Oman in Asia Cup 2025.
Arshdeep Singh created history in Abu Dhabi by becoming the first Indian to claim 100 wickets in T20 internationals. The left-arm pacer reached the milestone during India’s Asia Cup 2025 group match against Oman on Friday.
The 26-year-old dismissed Vinayak Shukla in the final over to grab his 100th scalp. Playing his 64th T20I, Arshdeep returned with figures of 1 for 37 as India sealed a 21-run win.
With this, Arshdeep went past Yuzvendra Chahal, who has 96 wickets, while also leaving behind active teammates Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah. He is now the fastest pacer to reach 100 T20I wickets.
Since debuting in 2022, Arshdeep has grown into a vital part of India’s attack. He was the highest wicket-taker in the 2024 T20 World Cup and continues to lead the pace unit with consistency.
