Videos from the wedding, shared on Instagram handle ‘komalselovhogaya’, showed the celebrations, but Abhishek was noticeably absent. The youngest of three siblings, he chose to stay focused on cricket, prioritizing his career over family festivities.
Eyes on an ODI debut
Abhishek has yet to make his ODI debut for India, and his recent performances in T20Is and the Asia Cup make him a strong contender.
He scored 314 runs in the Asia Cup at an impressive strike rate of 200, playing a crucial role in India’s success. With Rohit Sharma nearing ODI retirement, an opening spot could soon be available.
Playing for India A now gives Abhishek a chance to impress selectors ahead of India’s three-match ODI series against Australia later this month.
The matches will be held in Perth, Adelaide, and Sydney on October 19, 23, and 25. A standout performance could finally earn him a spot in the Men in Blue’s ODI squad.
