Rift in Indian Cricket as Shubman Gill Unfollows Rohit Sharma on Social Media

In an unexpected move, young Indian batter Shubman Gill has unfollowed captain Rohit Sharma on Instagram. The reason behind this remains unclear, but social media is abuzz with speculation that it’s linked to his omission from the main squad for the 2024 T20 World Cup.

While selected as a travelling reserve, Gill wasn’t included in the final 15. Instead, Yashasvi Jaiswal earned a spot but hasn’t featured in the playing eleven so far as Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have opened the batting for India so far.

As per reports, Shubman Gill might be sent back home after the upcoming Canada match, along with reserve fast bowler Avesh Khan. Only players expected to be part of the Super 8 stage will remain in the Caribbean.
