The Kerala Cricket Association has decided to discover new talents and hence they come up with the idea of hosting the Kerala Club Championship, which will witness 10 teams battling against each other for the maiden title, starting from August 27 in Alappuzha.
Each team will play a total of four games in the group stage and all matches of the tournament will be played at the SD College Cricket Ground, Alappuzha.
Teams have been divided into two groups. Group A consists of Masters-RCC, Kids Cricket Club, Prathiba Cricket Club, Alleppey Cricket Club, and Swantons Cricket Club while Group B have Ernakulam Cricket Club, Jolly Rovers, BK-55, Tripunithura Cricket Club and Masters Cricket Club in their group.
Masters-RCC will square off against Kids Cricket Club in the opening match of the Kerala Club Championship on Friday. Both the teams have some experienced players in their arsenal and have previously appeared in the KCA President’s club earlier this year. Both sides will be looking to kick off their championship campaign on a winning note.
