Batting first after losing the toss in the match played in Dubai, Rajasthan gave a target of 155 runs. In reply, Hyderabad won the match by scoring 156 runs for 2 wickets in 18.1 overs.
Manish Pandey made his 18th fifty in ipl and scored 83 not-out in the match. Vijay Shankar scored an unbeaten 52 in the match and made his third fifty in IPL. Both made a 140 runs partnership for the third wicket. Jofra Archer of Rajasthan got 2 wickets. With this win, Hyderabad has moved to 5th place in the points table replacing Kings XI Punjab (KXIP).

Hyderabad captain David Warner and Jonny Bairstow could not do anything special in the match. Warner (4) was dismissed by Jofra Archer in the hands of Ben Stokes on the fourth ball of the first over of the innings. Archer then bowled Bairstow (10) in his next over to give Sunrisers another shock.

Jason Holder playing his first match of the season stopped Rajasthan from scoring big. Rajasthan scored 154 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs. Holder took 3 wickets for 33 runs in 4 overs. Holder also runout Robin Uthappa on his own ball.
Jason dismissed Sanju Samson (36 runs), Steve Smith (19 runs) and Ryan Parag (20 runs). Jofra Archer 16 and Rahul Teotia 2 not out. Apart from the holder, Rashid Khan and Vijay Shankar got one wicket each.
Rajasthan Royals Scored 47 Runs in Power-Play
Rajasthan did not have a good start today. Robin Uthappa and Ben Stokes started the innings carefully and played some controlled shots. Uthappa got off to a good start, but could not convert it into a big score. Uthappa was run out after scoring 19 runs. Stokes and Sanju Samson then took over the innings and moved the score to 47 in the power-play.

Ben Stokes & Sanju Samson took the innings forward after the first wicket fell quickly. Both made a 56-run partnership for the second wicket. Samson was bowled by Jason Holder for 36 runs. After this, Stokes (30) was also out on Rashid Khan’s delivery.
Butler-Smith Failed to Impress
Jos Buttler and captain Steve Smith did not do anything special in this match. Buttler was dismissed on 9 runs off Vijay Shankar’s delivery. After this, Steve Smith also scored 19 runs and was out on Holder’s ball. On the very next ball, Holder showed Ryan Parag (20) the way to the pavilion.

Rajasthan is at number six in the table with eight points with four wins and six defeats in 10 matches while Hyderabad is also one place below to Rajasthan at number 7. Hyderabad has won three from nine matches and lost six before this match. When both teams clashed with each other for the first time this season, Rajasthan defeated Hyderabad.
