Deepti Sharma Jumps to Sixth in ICC T20I Bowling Rankings After Asia Cup Show

Deepti Sharma has moved up two places to sixth in the ICC Women’s T20I bowling rankings after a strong start to India’s Women’s Asia Cup campaign in Dubai.

The India all-rounder has collected 709 rating points after taking eight wickets in three matches. She picked up three wickets each against Thailand and Hong Kong before taking two against Pakistan.

Deepti played a key role as India made it to the Asia Cup semi-finals. Her spell against Pakistan came in a one-sided contest where India bowled the rivals out for just 55 runs.

India’s spinners have made the most of the dry conditions in Dubai, with Deepti among the bowlers making a strong impact in the tournament.

Sree Charani remains at the top of the ICC Women’s T20I bowling rankings with 799 points. Deepti’s latest rise puts her firmly among the leading bowlers in the format.

Meanwhile, England’s Charlie Dean has also made progress in the ICC rankings after leading England in their recent ODI series against Ireland.

Dean has entered the top 10 in the Women’s ODI all-rounder rankings, moving to 10th place with 248 points. She has also climbed to 11th in the ODI bowling rankings.

The latest ranking changes reflect the performances of players in recent international matches. Deepti’s rise comes after her consistent wicket-taking run in the Asia Cup, while Dean benefited from her role and performances in England’s ODI series.
