Trent Boult Claims First T20 Five-Wicket Haul in ETPL
Trent Boult claimed his first T20 five-wicket haul, taking 5/24 for Edinburgh Castle Rockers in the ETPL 2026.
Trent Boult produced a career-best T20 bowling display as he claimed his first five-wicket haul in the format during the European T20 Premier League 2026.
Playing for Edinburgh Castle Rockers against Glasgow Cosmic at Sportpark Stadium in the Netherlands, Boult finished with impressive figures of 5/24 from four overs.
The New Zealand fast bowler removed Jason Roy, Richard Berrington, Ali Khan, Paul van Meekeren and Lungi Ngidi to help Castle Rockers bowl Glasgow Cosmic out for 115 runs.
It was a special milestone for the 37-year-old veteran, who had never taken five wickets in a T20 match before this game.
Boult’s previous best T20 figures were 4/13, which he recorded against Sri Lanka in 2022. His best in franchise T20 cricket was 4/17 for MI New York in the 2025 Major League Cricket season.
The five-wicket haul also comes after a quieter run for Boult across the SA20, IPL, MLC and The Hundred. His strong start in the newly launched ETPL gives him an early boost in the competition.
Boult retired from international cricket in 2024 but has continued to make his presence felt in franchise cricket around the world.
His experience and ability to strike early once again came to the fore as he dismantled Glasgow Cosmic’s batting line-up and helped Castle Rockers gain control of the contest.
