Dwayne Bravo, Ian Bishop Named Inaugural CPL Hall of Fame Inductees
Dwayne Bravo and Ian Bishop are the first inductees into the CPL Hall of Fame, with the ceremony set for September 15.
Dwayne Bravo and Ian Bishop have been named the first inductees into the newly established Caribbean Premier League (CPL) Hall of Fame.
Bravo has been inducted in the Player Category, while former West Indies fast bowler and commentator Bishop has been recognised in the Non-Player Category.
Bravo is the first player to enter the CPL Hall of Fame after a remarkable career in the tournament. He played 107 CPL matches, including 89 for Trinbago Knight Riders, scoring more than 1,000 runs and taking 129 wickets.
The all-rounder also won five CPL titles during his time in the league. Bravo played in the competition from its first season in 2013 until the 2024 season.
Bishop has been recognised for his major role in the growth and global reach of the CPL. He has been part of the tournament’s commentary team since its launch in 2013.
The CPL and Cricket West Indies created the Hall of Fame to honour people who have made a lasting contribution to the league and helped shape its identity.
The induction ceremony will be held at a gala dinner in Barbados on September 15, 2026, just before the CPL 2026 playoffs.
“The Republic Bank CPL today confirmed Dwayne Bravo and Ian Bishop as the two inaugural inductees into the newly established CPL Hall of Fame,” the league said in its announcement.
Bravo’s success on the field and Bishop’s contribution behind the microphone make them fitting choices for the first-ever CPL Hall of Fame class.
