The victory is India’s second-biggest Test win by runs and keeps their unbeaten Women’s Test record in England intact. It was also India’s fourth Women’s Test victory over England, more than against any other team.

India’s bowlers finished the job with confidence. Sneh Rana led the attack in the second innings with four wickets, while Deepti Sharma picked up important late wickets to wrap up the match. England fought hard but could not recover after losing early wickets.

Sophie Ecclestone offered some resistance with a fighting half-century. Her 50 delayed India’s celebrations for a while, but she received little support from the rest of the batting order as England’s chase ended well short of the target.

India had built the platform with strong performances across both innings. Yastika Bhatia scored a brilliant 113 in the second innings, helping India set England a massive target. Smriti Mandhana also played a key role with scores of 83 in the first innings and 70 in the second.

The bowlers had already put India in control earlier in the match. Fast bowler Kranti Gaud starred in England’s first innings with a superb five-wicket haul, giving India a crucial advantage before the batters stretched the lead even further.

The win reflected a complete team effort. India’s batters produced big runs at important moments, while the bowlers kept pressure on England throughout the match to secure another memorable overseas Test victory.
