India’s Predicted XI for 4th T20I vs New Zealand: Will Sanju Samson Miss Out?
India lead New Zealand 3-0 in T20I series and aim to continue dominance in fourth match with focus on form and rotation.
India have already sealed the five-match T20I series 3-0, but the focus will be on keeping the momentum going when they face New Zealand in the fourth T20I on Wednesday.
The hosts have looked a class apart so far, winning all three matches with ease. The third T20I was the clearest example, as India chased down 154 in just 10 overs to register an eight-wicket win.
Abhishek Sharma has been the standout batter of the series. His unbeaten 68 off just 22 balls in the last match blew New Zealand out of the contest early. He was well supported by captain Suryakumar Yadav, who struck a quick fifty and ensured there were no hiccups in the chase.
Sanju Samson has not had a good run so far and could be rested in this game. The team management may look at Shreyas Iyer as an option if they also decide to give Ishan Kishan a break, with rotation expected now that the series is decided.
The middle order is likely to remain unchanged. Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Shivam Dube and Rinku Singh are expected to continue, with the think tank keen on giving them more time in the middle ahead of the 2026 T20 World Cup. Getting runs and confidence at this stage is seen as key.
In the bowling department, Axar Patel is set to return after recovering from the finger injury he picked up in the first T20I. He is likely to replace Kuldeep Yadav. Ravi Bishnoi should keep his place, while Varun Chakravarthy may be rested to manage workload.
The pace attack is expected to be led once again by Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh. Bumrah has been outstanding in the series, setting the tone early with the ball. Harshit Rana is likely to miss out if the combination remains the same.
