Smriti Mandhana Breaks Silence, Confirms Marriage With Palash Muchhal Has Been Cancelled
Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal call off wedding, ask for privacy and warn against rumours.
Smriti Mandhana ended all speculation on Monday by confirming that her wedding with music composer and filmmaker Palash Muchhal has been called off. She shared the update through Instagram after weeks of rumours around her personal life.
Mandhana said she is a private person, but the constant noise around her plans pushed her to speak. She asked fans and the media to stop probing and to respect the privacy of both families. She added that they need time to process the situation and move forward.
She also said her focus remains on cricket. Her goal is to represent India with pride and win trophies, and she does not want the discussion to move away from her work on the field.
The wedding had been planned for 23 November 2025 in Sangli. It was postponed after Mandhana’s father suffered a cardiac emergency and Palash also fell ill on the same day. A representative had said a new date would be considered only when both families were ready. Mandhana has now confirmed there will be no new date at all.
Soon after her post, Palash Muchhal released his own statement on Instagram. He wrote that rumours, especially those accusing him of infidelity, had caused him deep pain. He urged people not to judge based on unverified gossip and warned about the harm online speculation can cause.
Palash said his team will take strict legal action against anyone spreading false or defamatory content. He thanked everyone who has supported him during what he called a very difficult phase of his life.
Mandhana is one of India’s biggest cricket stars and her personal life often draws attention. Palash is well known in the entertainment industry. Their wedding plans had been followed closely, and the sudden postponement in November sparked a wave of rumours.
