WPL 2026 Auction: When and Where to Watch the Bidding Live in India?

The WPL 2026 Auction will take place on Thursday, November 27, in New Delhi. Fans are eager for the first mega auction of the league, which is expected to bring major squad changes across all five teams.

The full schedule for the new season will be released only after the auction. Matches are likely to be held in January 2026, with Vadodara and Navi Mumbai expected to host most games.

The Women’s Premier League began in 2023 and quickly became one of the most-watched women’s T20 tournaments. The auctions have always created big buzz. Smriti Mandhana was picked for a record INR 3.40 crore in the first season, while Nat Sciver-Brunt received INR 3.20 crore from Mumbai.

This year’s event is special because teams will rebuild their squads almost from scratch. The five teams taking part in the auction are RCB Women, UP Warriorz, Mumbai Indians Women, Delhi Capitals Women, and Gujarat Giants.

The league’s growth has been steady. MI Women won the first title in 2023 and added another in 2025. RCB Women lifted the trophy in 2024. Delhi Capitals Women have finished runners-up in all three seasons and will hope the mega auction finally helps them go a step further.
