Lucknow Super Giants have made bold changes ahead of the IPL 2026 mini auction. The team released key names like David Miller and Ravi Bishnoi while also trading Shardul Thakur. In return, they brought in Arjun Tendulkar and senior pacer Mohammed Shami to strengthen their attack. After these moves, LSG now have ₹22.95 crore left in their purse.
LSG kept their core group intact. Rishabh Pant stays as captain, and Nicholas Pooran continues as one of their main finishers. Young batters like Ayush Badoni, Abdul Samad, and Himmat Singh have also been backed. Mitchell Marsh, Shahbaz Ahmed, and Arshin Kulkarni lead the all-rounder unit. The bowling lineup kept its pace strength with Mayank Yadav, Avesh Khan, Mohsin Khan, M Siddharth, Digvesh Rathi, Prince Yadav, and Akash Singh.
Shami and Arjun Tendulkar joined the squad through trades. Shami adds experience with the new ball while Arjun gives them a left-arm option and some depth with the bat.
On the release side, the team moved on from Bishnoi, their top spinner in earlier seasons. Miller, known for his power hitting, was also let go. Shamar Joseph, Akash Deep, Aryan Juyal, and two young all-rounders, Yuvraj Chaudhary and Rajvardhan Hangargekar, complete the release list.
