Not Playing Under THIS Captain is Suryakumar Yadav’s Biggest Life Regret

Suryakumar Yadav, India’s T20I captain, opened up about a personal regret after India’s unbeaten Asia Cup win in Dubai last week. He wished he had the chance to play under the legendary MS Dhoni.

Though Suryakumar has faced Dhoni many times in the Indian Premier League, he has always used those moments to learn from him.

“I always hoped for a chance to play under his captaincy for India, but that never happened. Whenever I played against him, I always saw him behind the stumps. He has always been very calm.”

“One key lesson I’ve learned from him is to remain composed in high-pressure situations. He observes everything around him, assesses the situation, and then makes his decision,” Suryakumar said.

Suryakumar’s international journey started under Virat Kohli’s captaincy during the 2021 series against England in Ahmedabad. Though he didn’t bat in his debut match, his fearless batting style soon made him stand out.
