[Watch] Comedy on the Field: Pakistan Misses Simplest Run Out Against Bangladesh in Asia Cup Match

Pakistan miss an easy run out against Bangladesh, but Haris Rauf removes Saif Hassan in Asia Cup 2025.

Pakistan faced a mix-up in the field as they let an easy run out chance go against Bangladesh in the Super Four match of Asia Cup 2025. The incident happened on the first ball of the fifth over.

Shaheen Afridi bowled a back-of-a-length delivery to Towhid Hridoy, who pushed it softly to point. Non-striker Saif Hassan ran, thinking a single was possible, but Hridoy stayed put.

Both batters ended up at the same end. Point fielder Saim Ayub made a weak throw and with no one backing up, the ball missed the stumps. By the time it was collected, Saif was safely back in the crease.

This let-off could have been costly. Saif Hassan has been Bangladesh’s most reliable batter in the tournament, scoring 69 against India. But Pakistan quickly recovered.

In the next over, Haris Rauf bowled a good-length delivery at the stumps. Hassan tried to clip it to the onside but mistimed the shot. The ball went to backward point, where Saim Ayub took a safe catch.
