[Watch] Oops! DJ Plays ‘Jalebi Baby’ Instead of Pakistan’s National Anthem Before India Match

DJ error stuns players as 'Jalebi Baby' plays instead of Pakistan’s anthem before Asia Cup clash vs India in Dubai.

Pakistan’s Asia Cup 2025 clash against India in Dubai began on a rather awkward note. Just before the start of the high-voltage Group A encounter, the Pakistan team, led by Salman Ali Agha, were left stunned when the stadium DJ played Tesher and Jason Derulo’s hit track Jalebi Baby instead of their national anthem.

The song echoed around the Dubai International Stadium for about six seconds before the mistake was corrected and Pakistan’s anthem was finally played.

Tension from the Toss Itself

The drama had started even earlier at the toss when India skipper Suryakumar Yadav and Salman Ali Agha did not shake hands or make eye contact. Salman won the toss and opted to bat, sticking with the same team from their last match.

“We are going to bat first. We’ve been playing good cricket, very excited. Looks like a slow wicket. Just want to bat first and put runs on the board. Same side,” Salman said.

Suryakumar, however, welcomed the call. “We were looking to bowl first, happy with it. We played just one strip away, which was a nice wicket and better to bat on in the night. It’s humid, so I’m hoping for some dew. Same team,” the India captain said.
