Pakistan Great Left Impressed with Kuldeep Yadav’s Four-Wicket Haul Against UAE

Kuldeep Yadav lit up Dubai with a spell that will be remembered for a long time. The left-arm spinner ripped through UAE’s batting order in India’s Asia Cup 2025 opener, taking three wickets in the space of one over and finishing with 4 for 7.

Kuldeep, who spent the entire summer warming the bench during India’s Test tour of England, grabbed his chance on return to the XI.

With UAE looking steady at 50 for 2, he broke the game wide open by dismissing Rahul Chopra, captain Muhammad Waseem, and Harshit Kaushik in quick succession during the ninth over.

What stood out was the variety of his deliveries. Chopra fell to a classical leg break while trying to go big, Waseem was undone by a flipper that skidded under his bat, and Kaushik was left clueless by a googly that crashed into his stumps.

UAE’s innings never recovered after Kuldeep’s one-over magic. Jasprit Bumrah had already set the tone with a deadly yorker to remove Alishan Sharafu, while Varun Chakaravarthy also chipped in with a wicket.

Shivam Dube surprised everyone with a career-best 3 for 4, making sure the hosts were bundled out for just 57 in 13.1 overs.
