[Watch] Virender Sehwag’s Son Rips Apart Experienced Navdeep Saini in DPL 2025
Virender Sehwag’s son Aaryavir Sehwag made a fiery debut in the Delhi Premier League, smashing Navdeep Saini for fearless boundaries before scoring 22 off 16.
The Sehwag name is back on the pitch, and this time it’s Virender’s elder son Aaryavir making the noise. Almost ten years after the legendary opener last walked out, the Arun Jaitley Stadium saw a Sehwag open the innings again, this time in the Delhi Premier League (DPL), where Aaryavir announced himself with a sparkling cameo on debut.
Facing the experienced Navdeep Saini in the third over, the youngster showed no nerves. After getting off the mark cautiously, Aaryavir launched into Saini with two fearless boundaries, one through deep extra cover and the next punched between cover and long-off after charging down the track.
He continued the momentum an over later against left-arm spinner Rounak Waghela, cracking two more boundaries in succession. The debut innings ended at 22 off 16 balls, but the intent and strokeplay were enough to leave a mark.

Waghela, who dismissed him in the same over, had to first watch two of his deliveries race away to the ropes. Aaryavir replaced Delhi captain Yash Dhull in the Central Delhi Kings’ line-up, after Dhull joined the North Zone squad for the Duleep Trophy.
