Saly Samson Outperforms Star Brother Sanju in KCL 2025 Match
Saly Samson shines with fifty, bowling and fielding, leading Kochi Blue Tigers to a dominating KCL 2025 win.
Kerala Cricket League (KCL) 2025 kicked off with an exciting second match between Kochi Blue Tigers and Trivandrum Royals. All eyes were on Sanju Samson, who was expected to make an impact for the Tigers.
However, Sanju did not get a chance to bat. He did, though, contribute to a run-out of Subin S alongside his brother and captain Saly Samson.
Saly Samson stole the show with a complete all-round performance. Opening the bowling, he delivered two tight overs and also took a brilliant catch.
With the bat, the 34-year-old smashed an unbeaten 50 off just 30 balls, hitting five fours and three sixes at a strike rate of 166. His innings stood out as every other batter struggled to score freely.
The Tigers dominated the match from start to finish. Bowling first, they restricted the Royals to just 97 runs, with Akhin Sathar and N Mohammed Ashik taking three wickets each.
Kochi Blue Tigers chased the target comfortably, finishing in the 12th over. With this win, Kochi Blue Tigers have made a strong statement at the start of KCL 2025.
