Kashi Rudras were in deep trouble at 88 for 6 in the 14th over when Mavi walked in. Instead of playing safe, he launched a fearless counterattack.

Alongside Shiva Singh, he stitched an 87-run stand that changed the course of the game. Thanks to his onslaught, Rudras finished with 176 for 8 in their 20 overs.

Mavi wasn’t done with the bat alone. Opening the bowling for Kashi, he also struck early, removing Lions skipper Akshdeep Nath and Hardeep Singh in quick time. His all-round brilliance ensured Rudras began their UP T20 campaign with a convincing win.

For Indian fans, Mavi’s knock was a reminder of his talent. A member of the 2018 U-19 World Cup-winning squad, he made his India debut in January 2023 and played six games that year.

Since then, he has drifted out of the national picture. But this explosive performance could reignite his chances, especially with the 2026 T20 World Cup set to be played in India and Sri Lanka.
