IND vs ENG: “More Sledging Coming!” Siraj Sends Fiery Warning to England Before 4th Test
Siraj warns England of more sledging in 4th Test at Manchester after Gill-Crawley fight at Lord’s.
Mohammed Siraj has dropped a big hint ahead of the fourth Test in Manchester – the sledging isn’t stopping anytime soon.
After tempers flared at Lord’s in a fiery third Test, where India lost a nail-biter by just 22 runs, Siraj has now opened up on the heated on-field drama and hinted that there could be more verbal fireworks in the upcoming match at Old Trafford.
“It’s fun!” Siraj opens up on sledging
When asked about the fiery exchanges, Siraj didn’t shy away.
“There’s no pre-planning. It happens in the moment. If a batter’s in the zone, you try to disturb him and get into his head,” Siraj said in the pre-match press conference.
“Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. But as a fast bowler, it’s fun.”
The speedster didn’t rule out more chatter in Manchester. “Maybe. Depends on the situation. A little bit of chatter can shake things up,” he added with a grin.
Lord’s drama: Gill vs Crawley heats up
The sledging war truly began at the end of Day 3 at Lord’s when England opener Zak Crawley repeatedly delayed play. India wanted to bowl a couple of overs before stumps, but Crawley wasn’t having it.
He pulled away multiple times while facing Bumrah, complained about the sightscreen, and finally called for the physio after being hit on the glove.
This led to sarcastic slow claps from the Indian players and a furious outburst from Shubman Gill, who was caught on the stump mic shouting, “Grow some f ba**s!”
Gill even walked up to Crawley and gestured towards the dressing room in mockery, before Ben Duckett stepped in to defuse the situation.
Tension rising ahead of 4th Test
With the series standing at 2-1 in England’s favor, the fourth Test at Old Trafford is shaping up to be a spicy battle. India will be desperate to bounce back, and Siraj’s latest comments suggest the hosts should brace for more than just fast bowling.
