ZIM vs SA: Corbin Bosch Makes History! Joins Jacques Kallis in Rare Test Record
Corbin Bosch joins elite list with a century and five-wicket haul in same Test for South Africa vs Zimbabwe

South Africa’s Corbin Bosch has created history in just his second Test match. The all-rounder was brilliant with both bat and ball in the first Test against Zimbabwe.
In the first innings, South Africa scored 418/9. Lhuan-dre Pretorius made a big century, scoring 153 runs. Corbin Bosch also played a stunning knock. Batting at number 8, he hit a counter-attacking 100 off 124 balls.
His innings broke Zimbabwe’s rhythm and took the game away from the hosts. Bosch then made a bigger impact in Zimbabwe’s second innings. He picked up five wickets and crushed their batting line-up.
With this performance, Bosch has entered the record books. He has now become only the fourth South African cricketer to score a century and take five wickets in the same Test match.
Here is the list of South African players who have done this:
- Jimmy Sinclair: 106 runs and 6/26 vs England
- Aubrey Faulkner: 123 runs and 5/120 vs England
- Jacques Kallis: 110 runs and 5/90 vs West Indies
- Jacques Kallis: 139* runs and 5/21 vs Bangladesh
- Corbin Bosch: 100* runs and 5/43 vs Zimbabwe
Jacques Kallis is the only South African to achieve this feat twice in Test cricket. Now, Corbin Bosch joins this elite group.
