Smriti Mandhana hits stunning 51-ball hundred at Trent Bridge, becomes 2nd Indian woman to score century in T20Is

Smriti Mandhana lit up Trent Bridge with a breathtaking innings as she slammed her maiden T20I century, becoming only the second Indian woman to reach the milestone in the format.
Mandhana, captaining India in the absence of Harmanpreet Kaur, reached the landmark in just 51 balls, peppering the boundary with 14 fours and three sixes. Her hundred came in style, stepping out to a full ball from Bell and lofting it gracefully over extra cover to beat the sweeper in the deep.
The left-hander’s celebration said it all, helmet off, arms aloft, bat raised, and a beaming smile, marking a moment of personal triumph and a significant landmark in Indian women’s cricket.
This is only the second T20I century for India Women, after Harmanpreet Kaur’s 103* against New Zealand during the 2018 Women’s T20 World Cup at Providence.
