Abandoned by All? Prithvi Shaw Says Only ONE Indian Cricketer Stood By Him
Prithvi Shaw revealed that during his lowest phase, only Rishabh Pant stayed in touch while others remained silent.

Prithvi Shaw has opened up about the rough patch in his career and revealed that the only person who stayed in touch with him during that phase was Rishabh Pant.
The 25-year-old batter, who was once seen as India’s future, is currently trying to revive his career after being ignored by IPL franchises and dropped from the Mumbai Ranji team midway through the 2024–25 season.
In an interview with News 24, Shaw shared that he was not surprised when no team picked him in the IPL 2025 auction in Jeddah. However, he did feel the pinch of being left out during such a difficult phase.
“Only Rishabh Pant reached out to me during my tough times,” said Shaw. He also added that no other senior players like Rohit Sharma or Virat Kohli contacted him.
Prithvi Shaw Looking for a Fresh Start
Shaw has now parted ways with Mumbai and has received a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to join a new domestic team. He is hoping to reset his career and perform well in the 2025–26 season.
After his last international game in July 2021 against Sri Lanka, where he was dismissed for a golden duck, Shaw has not featured for Team India.
He recently played for the North Mumbai Panthers in the Mumbai T20 League and scored 137 runs in five matches, finishing as the team’s top scorer. The tournament also featured top India stars like Suryakumar Yadav and Shreyas Iyer.
