Zero Hype As Fans Ignore Shubman Gill-Led India in England
There were no fans to welcome team India in England.

Team India has landed in the UK for the upcoming five-match Test series against England, but their arrival created hardly any buzz. As per journalist Vimal Kumar, there were no fans or media personnel at the airport to receive the squad.
The BCCI posted a video of the players arriving and captioned it, “Touchdown UK. Team India have arrived for the five-match Test series against England.”
The video showed players like Rishabh Pant, Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, and Prasidh Krishna ahead of a tough contest against Ben Stokes’ England.
New captain Shubman Gill admitted the absence of senior pros like Kohli and Rohit will be felt.
“The pressure is always there when you start a tour. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are experienced players, and it will be difficult to fill the gap,” he said.
Gill also mentioned that the team has enough experience and talent to handle the challenge.
“Our bowling and batting departments are good. We haven’t decided on the final batting order yet,” he added, while calling his captaincy “a big responsibility.”
That said, it’s a fresh start for this new-look Indian team. Without the two biggest fan-pullers of the last decade, the young side will need time to earn support and connect with the audience on foreign soil. The real test begins now.
