Sai Sudharsan Creates History, Breaks Sachin Tendulkar’s ‘This’ IPL Record

Sai Sudharsan, the left-handed opener of Gujarat Titans, has made history in the IPL 2025 season. The young batter has gone past legends like Sachin Tendulkar and Chennai Super Kings captain Ruturaj Gaikwad with a new IPL record to his name.

Sai Sudharsan Becomes Fastest Indian To Reach 1500 IPL Runs

Sudharsan has been in great form this season. So far, he has scored 504 runs in 10 matches with an average of 50.40 and an excellent strike rate of 154.12. He has already hit five half-centuries this season and is giving solid starts to Gujarat Titans at the top.

In his recent match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Sudharsan played a quick knock of 48 runs from just 23 balls, smashing nine fours. He scored at a strike rate of over 200 and gave a strong opening with skipper Shubman Gill, who also scored 76 runs.

With this knock, Sai Sudharsan has now scored 1538 runs in his IPL career from just 35 innings. He started his IPL journey in 2022 and has played all his matches for Gujarat Titans so far.

This has made him the fastest Indian player to reach 1500 runs in IPL history. Before him, the record was shared by Sachin Tendulkar and Ruturaj Gaikwad, who reached the milestone in 44 innings. Sudharsan has broken their record by doing it in just 35 innings.
