‘I Told You Send Me In!’ – Rishabh Pant’s Argument With Zaheer Khan Goes Viral After DC Loss
Rishabh Pant was seen arguing with mentor Zaheer Khan on the LSG bench after being sent to bat at No. 7, and the video has gone viral online.

Rishabh Pant, the most expensive player of IPL 2025 at Rs. 27 crore, is once again in the spotlight—but not for the right reasons. In the match against his former team Delhi Capitals, a video of Pant visibly arguing with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) mentor Zaheer Khan has gone viral, raising eyebrows about internal decisions within the LSG camp.
Despite a strong start by Aiden Markram and Mitchell Marsh, LSG could only manage 159 runs, with Pant walking in to bat as late as number 7. The left-hander, who has struggled throughout the season, was bowled for a duck by Mukesh Kumar and looked upset while returning to the dugout. Former cricketers Anil Kumble and Suresh Raina pointed out that Pant’s frustration might have stemmed from not getting a chance to bat earlier, questioning if it was Pant’s call or a decision by the coaching staff.
The viral clip shows Pant exchanging words with Zaheer Khan on the bench, appearing frustrated. While Raina speculated that Pant told Zaheer, “I told you, send me in,” Kumble suggested the captain should have controlled his emotions better and focused on converting his frustration into performance on the field.
