The excitement is building as the ICC has officially released the fixtures for the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025, set to take place from February 19 to March 9. This prestigious tournament will feature eight top teams, returning to the calendar after an eight-year gap since the 2017 edition.
The event will be co-hosted by Pakistan and the UAE, with Pakistan hosting the tournament for the first time since 1996. Matches will be played across Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi, and Dubai, providing a mix of local and neutral venues for the teams.
The tournament will kick off on 19 February with a high-stakes clash between Pakistan and New Zealand in Karachi. The Group A lineup features India, Pakistan, New Zealand, and Bangladesh, while Group B includes Afghanistan, Australia, England, and South Africa.
India’s first match will be against Bangladesh on 20 February in Dubai, a contest that promises to be an exciting start to their campaign. The India vs Pakistan clash will take place on 23 February, also in Dubai, and is expected to be one of the most-watched encounters of the tournament.
Other key matchups include Australia vs England on 22 February in Lahore, and Afghanistan vs South Africa on 21 February in Karachi. Fans can look forward to these thrilling fixtures as all teams battle for a place in the semi-finals.
The knockout stages will begin with the first semi-final on 4 March in Dubai and the second semi-final on 5 March in Lahore. The final will be held on 9 March in Lahore, although it will be shifted to Dubai if India qualifies for the final. Both semi-finals and the final will have reserve days, ensuring that any weather interruptions will not affect the completion of these crucial matches.
