Amidst preparations for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season, the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) is contemplating the Mullanpur Stadium as the new home ground for the Punjab Kings (PBKS), a shift from their historical association with the PCA IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali.
During a recent media interaction, Dilsher Khanna, the Secretary of the PCA, disclosed that representatives from the IPL franchise have conducted a thorough inspection of the Mullanpur Stadium, indicating a high likelihood of it becoming the host venue for PBKS matches.
Meanwhile, the official X account of the Punjab Cricket Association posted a video spotlighting the recent developments at Mullanpur Stadium. In the video, Dilsher Khanna conducts an in-depth tour for media professionals, emphasising crucial elements like the playing area, grandstands, and the amenities accessible to players and fans.

The recently built Stadium is outfitted with an advanced super-fast drainage system, mitigating worries about weather disruptions and guaranteeing a prompt resumption of play. With a seating capacity of almost 33,000, it stands as an impressive venue.
